I5-4670K CPU Temperature

Hi,

I've just finished my first build, now everything's all good , however i am slightly concerned at how high the CPU temperature gets under full load.

I get around 70 to 80 degrees full load is this fine or am I frying the thing?

Specs:
Corsair 300r Carbide
MSI Z87-G45
I5-4670K (stock cooler)
G Skill Ripjaws 2 x 4GB's
XFX 650w XXX edition
MSI GTX 760 2GB

You have good temps for stock cooler. I have same motherboard and CPU and I have 65C with Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Excellent!!! Thank you for the reply! I was just a bit concerned when I saw the temperature had shot up to 80 degrees! Do you know the maximum for our CPU's, or what it shouldn't go up too??

CPU shouldn't go higher than 90C anything higher is not so good, the limit is 100C

Yea 100c is the max pretty sure cpu throttles at 95c , i get the same temps on my non oc 4670 under load with a stock cooler .

From what ive been reading for the last couple of days seems this is the normal temps for a haswell ...

Brill, now that I know a lot of people have the same temperature, I feel better for it, with it being my first build i was just a bit worried. Thanks for the input!
