I'm getting a new motherboard ASUS B85M Gamer because my old MSI Z87 G45 GAMING broke back in November. Is it still a great upgrade? I don't want to upgrade to a new build right now and I'll probably wait until next year for Ice Lake. I'm not planning to overclock so I'm choosing B85 but if I'm probably going to stick with my i5 4670k I'm getting MSI Z97 PC Mate. I'm on a tight budget so can't really choose a better one than that but I heard it isn't bad? (talking about Z97 PC mate)

the I5-4670 to I7-4790, the price of the i7 isn't worth it anymore. I would think of using this money (about 300$) to a new i5-8400/Mobo/Ram
