i5-4690 + MSI z97-GD65 gaming + Noctua NH-D15 = OC 4.5GHz?

I have configured following setup:

and I was wondering if I could get a 4.4-4.5GHz OC out of it? Mainly I would like to know if the Noctua is good enough to get the system stable and if the mobo is up for the task.

Is the PSU overkill or ok?

550W is already more than enough, and Gold ceritfication is overrated in my opinion.

But 750W would allow you to SLI GTX970s when you want to.

If he is lucky, then yes. 4.8GHz should be perfectly possible. More if he has a good chip.

You won't be able to over clock it because the CPU is not a k series. And being realistic people usually get 4.4 4.7ghz of OC. 5 GHz is just a bs that the CPU won't give you.

He just did not specify in the title, if you check the link, its a K-edition.

And 5Ghz on top tier (liquid or air, not custom water loop) cooling is possible, I have done it myself with a Thermalrigth Silver Arrow SB-e .
