Hi,

I'm really having problems with my setup right now. Below is my current setup :

Processor : Intel Pentium G3258
MOBO : ECS H81H3-M4
RAM : 8GB DDR3 1600 (2 sticks of 4GB)
GPU : ASUS GT730 2GD5
PSU : Seasonic S12II-520

I've been having unexpected shutdowns (EventID 6008), I thought it was my generic 600psu at first but it seems like it wasn't the case. So I was thinking maybe I should upgrade my wares.

My question is, is there a significant difference between the two? And any low-budget mobo that could fit in with my current setup. I'm not looking at overclocking in the future, so any advice would be really appreciated. TIA

BTW, I'm looking at the ff mobos :

Gigabyte GA-AM1M-S2P
MSI AM1i
Asus H61M-K OEM
MSI A78M-E35 v2

You may want to test the stability of your build with and without the graphic card. You could use AIDA64 for that.
I would also run a memtest on your ram to see if they are faulty or not.

If you get the i5 4690, all you really need to do is check if the motherboard bios you currently have support that cpu. if not, you would need to update it before installing it.
If you chose to go with an i5 6600, you have to get a socket 1151 motherboard. If you choose a socket 1151 motherboard that only support DDR4 ram, you would need to get some new DDR4 ram as well.
