i5 4690k and 4690 Integrated GPU??

Solution
The integrated graphics from Intel are not used when you have a discrete card installed. The machine would use the dedicated GPU instead of the integrated. The integrated comes in handy in case of a GPU failure. It allows you to at least have a functional computer while you are waiting for another GPU.

Sweet, thanks! I was worried there for a second thinking my own GPU would not be used.

No problem! If you go with the 4690k and wish to overclock, you can even go a step further and completely disable the integrated graphics in the BIOS if it is not done automatically. This ensures that there are no conflicts with the system and it gives you more overclocking headroom with regards to thermal management as the onboard video is no longer producing any heat.
