Hi i have an it 4690k and a gtx 970 but i want to upgrade tot 980 TI, will it bottleneck my current cpu the gtx 980 ti ? and also i have a seasonic m12ii-620w evo editionion is my PSU enough for my 4690k 4.4 GHz and a 980 TI ? Thx for your help !
If by 'unpark' you mean overclock, then yes in some games you will have better fps. That is not a myth, though with some games you might not be able to see the difference.
Yes, an overclocked CPU will run hotter, so it will need a good after-market CPU heatsink to keep it cool.
Thx i find on the internet that you gain FPS in some games because windwos is not running al 4 cores in some games and you don t benefict from full power of the CPU but i guess is just a myth or something
It worth selling my 4690k and upgrade to i7 4790k? i gain much more fps in games?
i think if i sell my 4690k i have to put like 200$ for the 4790k and i don t know if it worth it ....
No, an i7 doesn't significantly improve gaming performance. Hypterthreading is what you gain from an i7, and that is most helpful for video rendering, graphic design, and audio production.
The i5 is a very good CPU for gaming, you don't need to upgrade to the i7.
Thank you ! one more question when are the new GPU from NVIDIA coming out ? the new cards will be better than the 980 TI ? what about the price?
Should i wait for the next GPU from NVIDIA or go with the 980 TI ?
The first realase from nvidia will be as strong as the 980 TI or the first card will be entry level mainstreen then the high end TI versions ?
- The new Pascal line is docked to release during the second half of 2016.
- They will be better than the GTX 980ti
- Can't say what price they will be released at, nobody knows. Probably at least as expensive as the GTX 980ti though
I'm personally skipping over the GTX 980ti in favor of the new Pascal line, but if you need a good graphics card NOW there is no reason not to get a GTX 980ti. There will always be some 'new and improved' tech just around the corner.
My i5 4690k OC to 4.6ghz is bottlenecking with 2 gtx 980 SLI in Tom Clancy the division .... very depressing and i would not recomend the i5 for SLI anymore.

Tom Clancy: The Division doesn't support SLI. Lirik a popular streamer on TwitchTV was complaining to the developers to get it fixed so you can run SLI. Please first check if the game supports SLI before you start blaming your processor. <3

They were saying that the division will be a multi gpu game ... so ain't making stuff up.
I made a sli profile and it worked fine but the game is stressing my cpu even with single gpu ... so the game is ****(*
