i5 4690k OC Low Volt High Temp

Good evening,

it's been a long time now I have my CPU overclocked at 4.3 Ghz.
Recently I bought a new CPU cooler the D15 - Noctua (installed with double fans and used the Nocuta thermal paste)

I then clocked it up to 4.5 Ghz with a Core Voltage of 1.12V (stable).
But now comes the "problem" I've seen people posting their Core Voltages > 1.2V but with temps around 50°C and <30°C in Idle.

My Temps are around 35°C in Idle and around 60°C under full load and while playing and this with only 1.12V. I think i really got a good chip, but I really don't want to clock higher because I don't want to reach higher degrees then 60°C.

Do you have any advices where the temp "problem" could be or how to get lower temps? I was thinking of adding addtional and better case fans (2 in front and 1 at top), but I can't imagine it would get me lower temps.

Motherboard: Asus maximus Ranger VII
CPU: i5 4690k
CPU Cooler: NH D15 - Noctua
Case Cooler: 1 unknown 120mm front , 1 unknown 120mm back

Your temps are perfectly safe and normal for your settings and cooler. You can't always trust what you read. That's a nice chip, I'd push it to 4.6 or 4.7 as long it needs less than 1.3V (it can probably do 4.7 at ~1.25) and temps stay below 80 at full load and below 70 while gaming.

Youre temps are just fine, but you are wrong about the Fans not lowering temps if you have better airflow you will get better temps, but the best way to cool youre CPU more is getting better cooling, but that noctua should be plenty good, now i would say adding the fans will help a lot like 1 or 2 fans pushing the excess hot air out of the CPU socket and 1 or 2 pushing air into the case to circulate the air more. This can get the temps down from 60C to maybe 55C.
