i5 4690k on h81 d2v

Hello guys,i have a gigabyte h81-d2v (rev.2.0)and i want to put on an i5 4690k but i dont know if fits with each other.Can you help me wth that?

It fits just fine, but the board doesn't support overclocking.

They will fit, just you won't be able to overclock the CPU.

It will fit and will run if it is a modern version of the board (made recently) and has the correct BIOS. If you have the board already in a working system, update the BIOS before you remove the old CPU.

HOWEVER, I would not do it. Why pay extra money for an unlocked, overclockable chip and put it on such a cheap motherboard where it cannot be overclocked.

So my big question is WHY?

Right now i dont have the budget to buy a motherboard too for oc man ill put the 4690k on h81 and after a month ill buy a z97 mobo
