Hi,

trying to overclock my i5 4690k processor with the system build below. However, every time I raise the clock frequency with more that 2% the computer freezes. Any ideas what the problem might be? Issues with the cooling of the processor or some kind of a weird power supply problem?

System build:

ASRock Z97 Pro4
i5 4690K
XFX 650 W Modular bronze
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo
Radeon R9 280X
Corsair Vengence 16gb

Yeah I was changing the blck when the computer froze immediately. I tried yesterday just changing the multiplier and that doesn't seem to cause the problem. Any idea why that works?

HWMonitor gave me however temps up to 99C°. Is it possible that the program gives me wrong temps or should I be worried?

Changing the multiplier is just how you overclock the CPU its much simple then fsb and other setting's

Also what CPU cooler are you using
