I'm about to upgrade my comp and already have an am3+ mobo in it.
I am going to get another r9 290 to crossfire my current one, and I know that my current fx-8320 will bottleneck it hard.
My question is should I spend the $240 on a 9590 or a 4690k. They are the same price so are the results about the same from both of them?
Also, I have to buy a ~$110 mobo for the i5 while I have a mobo for the fx already.
Is the i5 worth the extra 110 bucks for now and the future?

I hardly know anything about intel so excuse me for my ignorance.

Ok thanks. Just to make sure, the 4690k won't bottleneck the crossfire r9 290s right? And on an off note, how long do you guys think cs r9 290 and the 4690k will be able to play games at the highest in the future? (don't mind if you don't answer lol)

Your current mobo might be too low end for 9590 as only the top of the line AM3+ mobos can run that high TDP.

Dude the thing is the 9590 is a very powerful cpu, in some cases it will keep up with the i5 when OD`ed but it`s a very...."stupid" chip if I can say it like that the power draw and heat that the thing creates is no less than extremely idiotic!!

So yes i is the better choice!

Alright.

What motherboard would you reccomend for the 4690k then? I have one picked out but have no idea if its good or not. (I would like to not spend over 120 if possible)

Also, do you think my power supply will be enough for this system?
Corsair G-800 (800w) that's about 1.5 years old with fairly heavy usage.
