just looked up the price of a ryzen 5 1600 and it's about 100 more than the 7600k (i'm not gonna say dollars or pounds or euro because the currency we use here is different and i don't want to explain it, so just pretend it's your local currency)

i5 7600k over the i5 4690k just because its newer and will get you DDR4 ram.

Now if you want to edit videos the ryzen would be a better choice over any intel cpu at that price range, so i would go with the r5 1600/1600x (if you dont mind the price difference) reviews and users reported they can OC the 1600 with the stock cooler so it is a really great value cpu over any intel i5 or even the r5 1600x.

well you should then factor the whole build with the i5 7600k vs the r5 1600 if it gets to expensive go intel as it would be the best deal for you.

you can not quite compare the i5 4690k as it should be cheaper than the other 2 builds and if it is not then it is over priced.

the 4690 is more expensive than the 7600 but both are less than the r5

Are you sure you didn't look up the R7-1700 instead of the R5-1600? As others have said, the R5-1600 should be slightly cheaper as it is cheaper in practically all countries. Ryzen motherboards also tend to be cheaper than the z-series motherboard you would need to overclock an i5 if that's in your plans. (Otherwise there is no point in paying for a k-series CPU.)

i know why there's such a difference in the site i use, it's because they have a policy that promises you that if the thing you order breaks they will replace it without voiding the warranty, in the site that SR-71 Blackbird posted it's cheaper but idk if they have a policy like that. anyway thanks for everything guys, really appreciate it. :)

Save $50 by not doing the SSD but would still need to get an OS. I'm not sure if you have a monitor to use with it but supplying it also. If you don't need it then sub out what you don't need and then you can get a 1060 6gig or a RX 570/580.
