i5 4690k VS i7 4790

Hi I am wondering what CPU would be the best for me.
I was going to get the i7 but the store I was going to buy it from has been raising the price for some reason. And this made me reconsider.

The store will sell the i7 for $469.95(New Zealand dollars) and the i5 for $359.95.
So right off the bat the i5 is significantly cheaper for me to get.

I will be using it primarily for gaming with high graphics (E.g BF4 Ultra, Far Cry 4, etc), and I will be doing a little bit of adobe Photoshop etc, and some video editing hopefully for a YouTube channel.

I also have a NZXT Kraken X41 for my build so i would be able to overclock the i5 if needed.

I am only 15 and this is my first build so the lower price of the i5 is tempting.
I also have a G1 GTX970 from gigabyte and don't want any bottlenecks in my graphics caused by a lower grade CPU.

those cpus are great for gaming. the i5 will not bottleneck any modern graphics card. get the i5,overclock it, love it. spend those extra bucks on something else.

I just needed a second opinion to help me choose. I will now go with the i5.

The i5 will do fine. If you're gaming mostly, the overclocking of the i5 will be more important than the HT of the i7. If you do want an i7, I can see http://www.pp.co.nz/products.php?pp_id=AA50520 Though the motherboards may be a bit hard to find, as it uses the oder X79 platform.
