Hello i was wondering will an i5 6400 and gtx 1060 will be good for 1080p 60fps.Is it time to upgrade my gtx 970?I play only Gta 5 online some time pubg fortnite and cs go.
For the pubg cs go and fortnite i am getting verry good fps but on gta 5 online i have some drops to 50 when the session have more than 15people.I am getting still 60+fps but when i drive fast i have drop to 50.I wanna get a stable 60fps.So is it worth the upgrade even to upgrade to 1060 3gb? My system now is i5 6400 gtx 970 mobo asrock h170ax1 2x4 hyperx at 2133mhz and a 550 w power supply. Will the 550w power supply can handle the system with the 1060?

This upgrade is unmoved, of course something will be better but you do not have the need and you will be disappointed with the results of faith. I have gtx 1060 6 gb MSI gaming and this is good graphic without discussion but not so much to be happy with the replacement. If you had a better processor, you would have a lot of sense and showed better results for the general condition of your setap! Minimum is the GTX 1070 or do not play anything and enjoy it! Take the I5 8400 and see what your graph can look forward to with this gaming processor! https://www.pcgamer.com/intel-i5-8400-review-the-best-new-gaming-cpu-in-years/
The 970 and 1060 3GB perform very similarly. The 1060 6GB is slightly faster, but not much (https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_1060_Gaming_X_3_GB/26.html). I would not replace a 970 by a 1060, it's a sidegrade rather than an upgrade. Either go for a GTX 1070, or wait for the coming GTX 1160 (or GTX 2060, the naming is still not known), they are just around the corner.

Yea i think about the 2060 but i think it will bottleneck the 6400.
So will it be more good to replace for and new coffe lake or a 2hand i7 6700 or 7700,is the power supply enough for i7?
