i5 650 vs i3 2100

Hi, before asking this question here I have researched on which on is better. But I still have some doubts in my research. Some say i3 2100 is better than the i5 650 and others the opposite. Which one is suitable for gaming, video editing and 3d design out of the two of them. Btw I will be pairing it with 4GB or 8GB ram, HDD 7200RPM, and a GTX 950. Both are really bad. You will serious problems in making video editing and 3d. But I suggesto you to take the i3 2100. Why? Because 18.6% faster in synthetic tests,less power hungry (65 vs 73 watts)
