So people have been saying there I7 6700K have been running at 62C on Prime95 with a 4.8 GHz OC with a H80i v2, but my I5 6500 runs 53-56C in Prime95 on stock clocks of 3.2-3.6 with a H80i v2.. Does the I5 6500 run hotter than the I7 6700K, or does my H80i v2 have a bad pump? (I run Prime95 with the Maximum Heat torture test option)

NOTE: I went with the H80i v2 with my I5 6500 because I will be going with a I7 K version CPU in the near future and I wanna OC the hell out of it.

People also report of the pump going to 4K+ RPM, but myne is never running higher than 2.8K RPM I put the pump performance in Corsair Link to performance, but it didnt do anything.

People said it, they said it ran at 4.8 (May have been 4.6 but im sure it was 4.8) with 62C load. I have seen multiple people state this as well. Now on youtube I seen people run 5.0 GHz at 79C Max and 75 Average. The fans and pump were all on Performance settings by the way.

Any links? If so, try reapplying thermal paste, preferably a quality one, make sure you have case airflow, so the heat from your GPU and components don't build up inside your case. Oh and no one wants to run at 100% fan speed. It's noisy as hell and is way disturbing, even if it cools, which the "performance" mode does. or close to 100%. Have you sandwiched your radiator? If so, that can lower your temps drastically aswell. (one fan at each side of the radiator, blowing the same direction obviously)

I put my own fan curve, it is at 73% fan speed until it hits past 38C water temp, when water hits 40C it will be 100 percent, but my water temp never goes past 36-37 so its never past 73 percent. It is somewhat crammed, but not really. The case has decent airflow, but to increase it I decided to take off the side panel and it help a lot. I am going to be getting a NZXT S340 soon so I will eventually have it mounted on the front of the case.
