core i5 6500 + asus b150 mother board
vs
ryzen 5 1500x + B350 mother board
for video editing

i know that ryzen is better from alot of videos i saw on YouTube
but the problem is iam from Egypt and in my country prices is not as official prices
so
ryzen 5 1500x ( 220$ ) + b350 ( 149$ ) = 369$
while
i5 6500 ( 190$ ) + asus b150 ( 88$ ) = 278$

ryzen is about 90$ more than i5 here in Egypt ..
so is it worth to pay 90$ more ?

Solution
If you go Intel just stick with the 6500 & stock cooler .
You will not get a worthwhile increase in performance with the 6600k & the 212 evo.is an unnecessary expense.

I would consider the ryzen 1500x better - it will however not work without a GPU at all. There are no integrated graphics on the ryzen chips.
You wont be able to use it until you can afford a graphics card.
Intel chips do not require a graphics card at all for general work/desktop use/video editing - only for gaming.

Can you afford an i5-7500 & b250 board ??
The 7500 comes with a cooler & is on a par with the 6600k.
I think at that price difference Is go the extra mile & go for a 1600

Is that the cheapest b350 board at $149 - that's seems excessive even for your prices.
Are there no b320 boards available yet - they dont support overclocking but should be cheaper .

Bear in mind you also need a GPU for ryzen though!!

With Intel you don't.

there is no b320 here :(
1600 is priced at 5500LE = ( 304$ )

the problem is that iam on a budget of 450 - 500$ :D
and i will not buy SSD or Graphics card now, i will buy CPU + Motherboard + Ram + Case ( with PSU ) + HDD
Then later i will buy Graphics card and SSD

I read the chats above and that you're tight on budget . Imo go with the Intel system if it costs less . That processor will still serve you 2-3 years without much of a problem ( I'm assuming you're not gonna buy a 1080ti ) if you get a mid range gpu going with it . Good luck with the system.
