Gonna pick up the i5 6500 $200.00USD
.. Was wondering what mother board i should pick up with it?
Ram im also most likely gonna pick up is
HyperX FURY Black 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 2133MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL14 DIMM Desktop Memory
$100.00USD
So mobo.. Looking for something decent.. but not over priced.. $80-130.00USD
Overclocking is a plus.. just in case in the future i decide to buy an overclock-able chip :p

Solution
Any z170 board will overclock. Literally any. Mini, micro, regular or E-Atx. Yes some will be more durable and have extra features, but they all have OC capabilities. What you should focus on more is chipset. Skylake have four mainstream chipsets - h110 (budget), b150 & h170 (good quality commercial boards without OC features) and z170 (the enthusiasts overclocking chipset). Form factor doesnt make any difference, just in regards to number of graphics card, hard drives supported etc. Not many people want two graphics cards or eight hard drives so a Micro z170 is usually enough.

All of the four main manufacturers (ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI & ASRock) make great boards and anyone that says they dont like this brand or that brand really dont...

i do plan to oc in the future.. i do not plan on sli or any of those.. and i do want atx i just think micro is small and silly and i dont need it.. and 3.0 is the future so why not.

Pfff callin' little builds silly!

Nothing silly about a 6700k and a GTX 1080 in a z170i!

A 6400 in a Z170e is pretty silly though, get a top end CPU if you're going to get a top end mobo!

Why not go with that Asus z17 or w.e the he'll it issue that atx.. everyone keeps rambling about.. since the price is almost the same? Unless the mini is a better board for the money

Lol just smaller, so less of a lump of metal. Pretty much any z170 board is good for what you need. The ATX has more PCIE slots and thats about it. Depends what case ya want to use, and how much you want to spend!

IS there a micro atx or just a smaller board in general that has overclocking features? just for future reasons.. ive been looking at some micro atx boards and most of them dont have the overclocking ability.. thats the only issue.. i dont want to gimp my self for the future.. i just want a cheaper decent board i can use for years to come?

Hope that helps clear it up a bit.
