Friend of mine has offered to sell me i5 6500, ASUS B150 Pro Gaming Aura, XPG Dazzle 2x8GB (2400MHz) for around $267. (used parts, around 2 years old but the parts still have warranty)

I am wondering if that's a good thing to pair with RX 580 8gb and will games like Battlefield 1 and Hunt: Showdown run fine on medium/high or will there be bottlenecking or huge fps drops?

I currently have FX-8350, RX 580 8gb, ASRock 970 Pro3 r2.0 with 16GB ddr3 ram

Total 283$ and you have a far better 6 cores 12 threads cpu rather 4 cores / 4 threads , faster ram and all will be brand new. I would never pay 267$ for these used parts. Battlefield games are cpu demanding games especially the battlefield 1 and V your i5 6500 will be always at 100% usage i wouldnt pick this intel i5 for these type of games. RX 580 though is enough and good pair with Ryzen 5 2600.

Thank you for your response!

What do you think about pairing Ryzen 5 2600 with ASRock B450M Pro4-F?

Would that be a good idea?

Dont expect much from these cheap motherboards like overclocking but you wont have any problem to run your cpu at stock settings or with a light overclock it will still be far better rather the i5 6500. If you are on a really tight budget then go with the asrock.
