By removing CMOS battery/clearing jumper yes. Only do it if you know your current BIOS settings or can back them up to a USB though, as it may stop your OS booting otherwise. The posters above will be able to help you with that more than me, its just something I experienced myself when, after upgrading CPU, it was still reading the old CPU!
