so I wish to upgrade my CPU for which I first need to sell my existing components, but I have no idea how to price them.

I would like to sell the following:

i5 6500 - with the stock cooler which is brand new as it has never been used (even has the pre-applied thermal compound on it) since when I bought the PC I also got an aftermarket cooler
Gigabyte Z170-D3H motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 16GB 2400mhz (8x2)

everything was bought in July, 2016 so all out of warranty.

buying price of the components were as follows:

i5 - 16100 INR
motherboard - 12590 INR
ram - 5700INR
total - 35000~ INR

could anyone help me with a good selling price?

yes, I'd like to sell all as a combo..

and no, I do not have / want a 5700XT... the 5700INR in my post is the price I bought the ram kit for 😛

do you think the combo would sell for 175 - 200 USD if it was bought at 465 USD (which is 35,000 INR)
Well to give you a idea. I sold my 4930k HEDT CPU for 90 bucks and 32GB RAM kit for 110 dollars DDR3 1866Mhz Im also waiting for auction to end on second pair of 32GB Vengeance Kit for 100 dollars. My old X79 Sabertooth motherboard died so I couldn't sell that. Hope that sorta clears things up. 😁👌
I would sell them as a deal together. CPU MOBO AND RAM together for like 150 dollars. The video card there is no reason to sell if I read you correctly you already have a 5700XT or you want one? Since it is a i5 only and only 2400Mhz you can get good money for the RAM but not the CPU. Maybe 20 bucks for the CPU and the rest on the RAM and MOBO and what not. Good Luck 🤷🏽‍♂️👨🏽‍🦲

You shouldn't fixate on the original price because the original price doesn't really matter. The only prices that matter are today's prices for the other things people could buy with that money.

agreed... but that was not my intention.. I only wanted users to be aware of the price differences here is India.

Anyway - if an i3 9100f (which performs a bit better than my i5 6500) is priced at 7,000 INR - do you think my i5 will sell for say 3500 (@50% of the i3) or more or less??
