i5-6600k 100% Usage when playing Fortnite all the sudden...

So as the title says, a few days ago i started having a problem with Fortnite and generally every other game, but most noticable with Fortnite and PUBG (Because they are more CPU intensive).
Now this wouldn't be a problem because usually i would think that it's simply utilizing all of my CPU but the problem is that since it's using 100% all the time whenever i get into a fight i get massive FPS drops making the game unplayable. It's worth noting that i've experienced the same type of FPS drops inside of CS:GO.

-Specs
-i5 6600k
-ASUS GTX1060 6GB Turbo (Blower style)
-8GB HyperX Fury 2133MHz DDR4
-ASRock H110M-A
-Samsung 850 Pro 500GB SSD (Windows only)
-Seagate Barracuda 2TB (Everything else including Fortnite)
-BenQ Zowie XL2411 144Hz Monitor

-Fixes i've tried
-Reinstalling Fortnite
-CCleaner
-Antivirus scan
-Setting my power plan back to Balanced
-Limiting my FPS to 144Hz
-Reinstalling Windows 10
-nVidia control panel settings
-Reinstalling my GPU Driver with DDU
-Setting Fortnite to High Priority ( In Registry )

Thanks in advance for the help!

They're not. Your max core temp is showing at 72°C. That is probably about right given the constraints of your configuration.

There also does not appear to be any thermal throttling happening based on the HWinfo data.

I see no mention of bios version. Make sure you are up to date with the latest bios version from your motherboard product page.

Also, in the downloads section of your motherboard product page, make sure you have the latest Intel .inf files (Chipset drivers) installed.

Furthermore, Microsoft just released the 2018 Fall update. It might be worth downloading and making an ISO from that installer package, and then doing a clean install with this latest version of windows. Could be some architectural and chipset related...
I reinstalled my OS because CS:GO was doing that, keep in mind this was about 1 month ago, at that time i was still competing in CSGO so i was desperate to fix the issue. As for updates i don't think that it's the problem since this has been happening for a very long time now. The reason i posted this now is because Fortnite just started doing it.

What are your temps during the game?

This was taken after a quick game where i died #70 dropping in retail row. Tell me if i need to test it out for a longer period.

Download and install HWinfo. Open it and choose "sensors only". HWinfo will specifically tell you whether the GPU or CPU are throttling and if there have been thermal events. HWmonitor is like driving a powered bicycle when you could be sporting a V-twin touring bike.

It is just the stock cooler... makes no sense.

Can you run the intel burnin test and see your temps after a couple minutes? Those temps are really really cold for a stock cooler and unless you are living inside a freezer I don't get why they are so low.

Could be some architectural and chipset related improvements or bug fixes that might directly relate to your issue. There also might not be.

I would try it though if the bios update and chipset drivers don't fix the issue. Also, in your bios make sure that Intel speed step is enabled, Intel speed shift is disabled and in Windows power options that the Performance profile is enabled but that in the advanced power profile settings under Processor power management you have the minimum state set to 8% and the maximum set to 100%.

I'm trying to update my BIOS but everytime i click on the MEUpdateTool it says "Please install the latest driver" also command prompt seems to have stopped working, every time i launch it it just closes automatically so i had to open my PC to check the exact model of my motherboard...

You don't need to worry about any of that. Just download the most recent bios image. Unpack/unzip the contents to a USB drive. Restart, go into the bios and find the bios update option in the bios. Run that, point it to the new files and allow it to update. You don't need to mess with anything else for now. Not sure why you're hung up with the MEupdatetool, don't worry about that at this time.

Also, ASRock does not have an H110M-A, that is an ASUS board, so make sure you are even looking at the right product page.

You're right it's an ASUS board, that was an error when i made the article ASRock was my old PC's mb. I did manage to install the latest BIOS for it and the Chipset drivers now all that's left is to test if it worked when i can.

It worked! Now im back to 144+ FPS and i can play properly, i really cant thank u enough mate. It turns out my BIOS was last updated back in 2016...
