Hello everyone,

My current system is:

CPU: i5-6600k 3.5Ghz (OC to 4.0Ghz) with Noctua NH0D15 multi socket PWM
Motherboard: MSI Z170A Gaming M3 Intel
RAM: Corsair Vengence LPX DDR4 3000 2x8GB
SSD: Intel 600p Series 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD (and one archive HDD that doesn't play games)
GPU: currently MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8GB
PSU: Corsair CX750M 80 Plus Bronze 750 Watt
Chassis: Fractal Design Define R5 Titanium
OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit
Display (main): Acer Predator X34 3440 x 1440 @100hz

With the upcoming release of Anthem on PC I'm looking at upgrading my GPU to get me a decent framerate (more than 60fps) on high or ultra settings. I want the game to look good and be smooth.

I was originally looking at a 1080ti, but did some reading on DLSS and benchmarking etc, and given that Anthem will support DLSS (if not at release, soon after) I will get more performance from a GOOD RTX 2070 than a GTX 1080ti.

I'm considering the MSI RTX 2070 Gaming Z 8GB card, as it overclocks very well (from what I read). I have done the measurements and this card will fit in my case well.

I have 2 main questions:

1) Does my current build of any hardware compatibility issues for that RTX 2070?

2) Considering the monitor I am running (I would not expect the full 100 hz off that card) would my CPU bottleneck at that res and around 80 fps?

Your advice and expertise would be greatly appreciated.

My only concern is how well a quad core will run the game. It’s possible the cpu will decide the max/average FPS and not your gpu choice. We won’t know until the game is benchmarked but quad cores are entry level these days.
