For 600 dollars I’m going to buy a pc, monitor, mouse and keyboard. The pc is an i5 6600k with gtx 980ti and 16gb total ram with z170-a motherboard. Is this pc future proof? Will it hold 60 FPS on max settings for at least 3 years?

Just based on these specs, Is this pc capable of 60fps on ultra or 120 on medium or high?

To say "Averaging" 60+ FPS on Ultra for the next 3 years I would think you would need an i7 7700K with Liquid cooling and at least a 1080 GTX and that would keep you close since API's are adopting more than 4 cores.

I have a 980ti and I play all of my games at 4k. Dota 2, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty WWII, Fortnite (for a minute) Almost every game that I've tried to play, I've been able to play at high or very high settings. I know I don't play all of the newest, baddest games, but I game often and everything runs fine.
