Hello i would like to know the community's opinions on this build i made with an i5 6600k.
Any feedback/improvements will be appreciated, as I am not all that experienced in this field.
(I'm Canadian btw so most of these sites may display prices in Canadian dollars)

I am looking to use this setup for some basic rendering/animation in college and some gaming as well. This will be most likely hooked up to a 1440p monitor.

Thanks

I feel you, I live in Canada as well. The price tags on the 1080 and 1070 are gonna be outrageously expensive. A couple cases I would recommended would be:

NZXT Source 210 $54.99 CAD...
Nothing wrong with this build but if you can I suggest waiting for the new GTX 1070/1080. It will be well worth it. But if you cannot then go ahead with this build as it is a pretty solid build and will be able to handle anything you throw at it. Best of luck!

I was hoping for some decent prices on the gtx 1070 to come up so I could consider it. However, the 1070 hasn't even been released and Canada yet, and based on the $1000+ Canadian price tag on the 1080s I am doubtful that the 1070 will fit in what I am willing to spend

I feel you, I live in Canada as well. The price tags on the 1080 and 1070 are gonna be outrageously expensive. A couple cases I would recommended would be:

NZXT Source 210 $54.99 CAD
Corsair Carbide Series 100R $64.99 CAD
NZXT S340 $89.99
Fractal Design Define S $119.99

I ordered them from cheapest to most expensive. Any of these cases will do, it's all up to personal preference of course.
