I have just overclocked my i5-6600k to 4.2 ghz the temps never goes more than 50c but the load is around 40%-50% in every single game even at assasins creed i is that normal?
Yah as long as your gpu is near 90-100% load most of the time, you dont need 100% of the cpu in most games.
Yeah the gpu is at 90-100% all the time but i had the impression that 40-50% at the cpu is too much for games such as assassins creed i&ii (i have chrome, skype and frapps running too)

No problem. I was playing star wars knights of the old republic 2 a few weeks ago which is quite a bit older then assassins creed and even that was pushing cores 1 and 2 in my system up over 50%. Just because a game is old does not mean it wont push your cpu a little, that's probably down to optimization which is non existent for newer hardware on older games and im sure a host of other factors.

No mate, it does sound right.
It feels like the newer assassins creeds are extremely cpu intensive (assassins creed syndicate is the ONLY game that has pushed my 12 threads above 50% in ANY game ever)
P.S. Even games like far cry 4/gta v/every battlefield/arma 2 and 3/fallout 4/etc etc
