Ok guys, I just built my PC and I downloaded Team Fortress 2 because its free and it seems like everyone plays it, my CPU was hitting a max of 70 C and always staying around the 65 C mark, is this normal??? It seems to me that this is way to hot, by the way, my cooler is the CRYORIG H7, will it get even hotter when playing games like GTA V???

Please help, worst case, should I reapply thermalpaste??? Or is it normal to hit 70C when playing Team Fortress 2???

Thanks!!! All help very much appreciated!!!

70 degrees is a "safe" temperature.
Not if you are only playing TF2.
I will not even think about what will happen to it if you ran a stress test. Check your fan speeds and make sure no stupid fan profile is raising the temps. If the fan is ramped up, you might want to consider reapplying thermal paste. There is a great LinusTechTips video on applying thermal paste.

That is running rather hot for your cooler, your temps are probably more in line with the stock cooler. I use an old CoolerMaster Hyper N520 on my 6600k, which is probably a weaker cooler than the Cryorig H7, and my gaming temps mostly hover in the 50s with brief spikes to the low 60s, and that's on CPU heavy titles like GTA V, not something lightweight like TF2. While your temps are strictly speaking safe, I would look at reapplying the thermal paste if you want to overclock, you pretty much have no thermal headroom as it is, and might start getting dangerously hot if you play something really CPU heavy.

Ok guys figure I'd give you guys an update, after removing my heatsink it turned out that I didn't put enough thermalpaste on, so now after testing and playing TF2 for another 15 minutes, max temp. was only around 40C.
