i5 6600k i need help with the parts because of skylake?

Hi i am a new pc builder and m trying to buy parts for my i5 6600k skylake cpu.I already got parts but not sure if they can be together. these are the parts ::::


-CPU:i5 6600k
-COOLER MASTER: EVO 212
-GPU:INTEL GRAPHICS(Ill buy one after)
-CASE: NZXT S340
-HARD DISK:WD BLUE 1tb HARD DISK
-RAM:Avexir Core Series 8gb
-MOTHERBOARD:MSI H110M Gaming
-PSU:Rosewill Valens 600W

Motherboard will now allow for CPU overclocking.

It will turn on, it probably won't work as well as planned.

I'd just get a cheaper, non-K i5 6600. K version will work, but will not be overclockable. If overclocking is not your thing anyway, it's a waste of money, so better to put it towards a new GPU.

I got a i5 6600k cpu but people told me it cannot overclock with my motherboard but Im new here i dont know whats a overclock.

Overclock is when you push your cpu or component over the stock frequency(the frequency with which it came from the factory). If your cpu is working at 3.9 Ghz overclock is when you push your cpu at 4.0, 4.5 ghz or any higher frequency then 3.9 ghz. You can search on youtube tutorials.

Overclocking is as said above, making your cpu run beyond its stock frequency. This can help performance., but has its disadvantages such as increased heat especially if you have to increase the voltage, so it requires a decent cpu cooler.

Well it would help if you told us what motherboard you have. If its not Z170 or Z270 you cant overclock, at least not via the multiplier.

I was building my pc and I realized that my i5 6600k cannot get overclock with my H110M motherboard.. Soo wich motherboard do I need? can u send a link from neweeg.ca? i dont really know whats overclock but is it worth it?

you would need a Z170 or Z270 board to be able to overclock your i5 6600K search for that on newegg.ca
