I am planning to use the i5 6600k with a Gigabyte H110M-S2PV DDR3 for about a month or two until i eventually got the money for a z170 and DDR4.is there any issue with that configuration?

Solution
Nope the i5 6600k will work fine on it, you just can't overclock on it, but I guess you figured that out already 😛

Also keep in mind upgrading to an other motherboard means to reinstall windows and it's drivers. :)
What CPU do you have now?

It may be worth holding off for ZEN to come out. We don't have prices yet, but you might find a 6C/12T CPU for about the same price as that 4C/4T CPU.

That's roughly 2x the processing power (most games won't benefit, but some will, as will video edit/convert applications).

I still find the W10 transfer confusing, but many are claiming they can transfer to a new PC.

If it's W8 or previous this does not apply:
http://www.groovypost.com/howto/transfer-windows-10-license-new-pc/

"This command uninstalls the product key, which frees the license for use elsewhere ...You are now free to transfer your license to another computer. "

is there any guide on how not to get AIDS trying to install drivers/repair broken windows 7?
