i5 6600k or i5 7600k for pure gaming?

Wondering which cpu would be best to upgrade to with a 6gb 1060 both cpus are basically the same price so which one would be best to pair with my gpu for just gaming?

The 7600k usually overclocks higher so go with that

7600k is *slightly* faster then 6600k, so obviously if both same price go for 7600k.

7600K would be a better choice but what motherboard do you currently have? If it's a B150,H170,H110,Q170 or Z170 you will need to update your BIOS to use it.
