[SOLVED] i5 6600k or i7 9700

I have recently salvaged a work computer with a i7 9500 (non k) and was wondering which would be better preforming for gaming. Currently my i5 6600k is Overclicked to 4.6Ghz and runs fine with my RTX 2060 but does bottleneck in some games (notably BFV). If the i7 is better, by how much would it be. It also advertises Intel vPro which i dont know what it is.

it's notably better since it's an 8 core compared to your quadcore. Games these days, especially BFV, like 6-8 threads. the i7-9700 is a substantial improvement over the 6600k, but in scenarios where the game doesn't use more than 4 threads the gains won't be more than 15%

also any recomendations on motherboards with LGA 1151 and 8+9th gen support. prefurably vga out but i can get a converter.
