Hello There!

I Overclock my I5 6600k a week ago, I put in "Stable" 4.5ghz and 1.270v. In stress test like aida64 I got no problems, but when I start to play games, like gta v, after 40min - 2hours, the system crashes, some times I get a blue screen that showme a Sad Face " 🙁 " and try to get data from problem but really keeps stuck there, other times, simple freezes up all in the game screen, anyway, I need to restart the pc for start again.

Im Really new to OC, i cant identify the problem here, i suspect from vcore, but i rise it to 1.280 and keeps crashing, i preffer ask here.

My PC is:
Mobo: Msi z170a sli (No plus version: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DDR05P6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
CPU: i5 6600k
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 6GB
RAM: Gskill TridentZ 2x8GB 3200Mhz
Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO

That is, i really need your help for get a stable clock.

Well, clearly your OC is not stable. I suggest testing it with Prime95 small fft test for 1 hour.
It could be you need higher Vcore for 4.5 GHz
It could be your PSU is not good enough quality to supply stable power for this overclock. Full make/model of your PSU?
It could be your motherboard doesn't have enough power phases for such an overclock.
It could be that you have simply hit the brickwall of your specific CPU chip.

Hey my PSU is EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 80+. I'm suspecting about the Mobo, how you see it? I manage to put it at 4.3ghz 1.275v stable. before I put the vcore to auto and see what voltage the mobo puts to reach 4.5ghz and seems to be 1.35v.

Kasper, setting up the cpu to 4.4ghz 1.3v still not stable, very strange. for get 4.4ghz working I need put 1.33v at least. a whole in the cpu scale, from 1.28v to 1.33v.
