My question is rather simple and it's about voltage.
My CPU - i5-6600k
MOBO - Asus Maximus VIII Hero
Last night (for the first time) I was doing some overclocking and reached 4.5 Ghz. I changed the following parametres in BIOS:
AI overclock tuner - XMP - chose No
Sync all cores - ratio: 45
CPU core cache limit 255.50
Min/max CPU Cache ratio - 41
I didn't change anything in RAM or fans.
And now the voltage - initially I set it to manual and 1.25 but after checking in prime 95, one worker showed an error at the very beginning. Then I changed it to 1.28 - again error on 1 worker.
Then I raised it to 1.3 V - no errors.
Please note that my PC was successfully booting for all 3 voltages.
Now the question - is 1.3V healthy for 4.5Ghz, given that according to prime 1.28 showed an error and 1.3 works fine? Should prime95 be trusted?
