I5 6600k temps

Hi have i5 6600k which isn't overclocked. I am using id cooling 240L aio liquid cooler. Without any programs open on desktop i get around 26-32 degrees and when gaming i get 52 - 60 degrees is this normal for cpu that isnt over clocked?

Yes, 50s is pretty low as far as temps under load goes. If you weren't going to overclock, then you probably didn't need that powerful of a cooler. You could consider a mild overclock since you already have it, it's basically free performance.

Over clocking the i5 6600k is remarkably easy. In the BIOS turn up the multiplier, by default this is 39 IIRC. Up it to 40 save and reboot. Test the CPU for stability. Repeat until the system is no longer stable. Turn the multiplier back down to wherever it was stable. I was able to turn my first 6600k up to 45 and the second one up to 44. YMMV of course. The multiplier is not a 24/7 overclock. This just controls the maximum that the CPU will go to under load. It will still throttle down to 700MHz or whatever the idle speed is while idle.

Hi but it goes up to nearly 60 degrees when gaming, isnt that high without an overclock and with a liquid cooler?
What would be the safest temp it should go up to after overclock?
