There is no simple answer to that. It would depend on:

• Monitor resolution
• Monitor refresh rate
• Does your monitor have FreeSync, GSync, or neither?
• Which games specifically?
• Are you going for max details, or max frames per second?

Throw the word "bottleneck" (with regard to comparing a CPU to a GPU) out of your vocabulary.
