[SOLVED] i5 7300hq turbo boost problem

i have a msi gl62m 7rdx and i reseted win 10 and i think turbo boost is gone my cpu clocks used to be 3.5ghz and now its gone after installing win 10. I checked the bios to enable it and its not there so now im stuck with 2.5Ghz

Base clock is 2.5 GHz, max boost clock is 3.5 GHz. Where are you seeing 2.5 GHz, and what is running on the laptop (if anything) when you're checking?

i see 2.5 ghz in task maneger when i benchmark and stress but i used to get 3.5 before i reset windows
but i never got 3.5 which i wanted i tried bios it wernt there i tried overclocking and it wernt there

I wouldn't rely on task manager. Use something like hwinfo64 (select Sensors Only option upon launch).

What was running on the laptop when you took that screenshot? It will only turbo as required based on the load.

What was the max temperature while it was running? Are you connected to AC power or running off battery? Make sure that max processor speed is set to 100% in advanced power settings.

yup power plug in ,100%cpu and around 78 degrees c

I see Intel XTU says turbo boost is disabled. Are you able to change that anywhere within XTU? If not I'd try looking around in the BIOS once more for a turbo boost setting.

in bios i see somthing called intel speedstep but when i enable it, it clocks my cpu at1.50Ghz at any temp and 100%cpu

yo i FIXED IT i downloaded real temp went to settings and uncheck disable turbo

where it says disable turbo i saw it was ticked
