My Config:
AMD FX-8350 with Cooler Master Hyper 103 Air Cooler
Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard
GeForce GTX 960 Asus Strix DirectCU II OC 2GB Edition Graphics Card
Corsair 8 GB RAM

i want to upgrade from FX 8350. i frustrated by shutters/Lags in BF1, so planning to buy new i5-7400 and H series motherboard. i will mostly play Battlefield 1, Battlefield V and PUBG.
One Local vendor give the i5 7400 in exchange of FX 8350 and old motherboard. i think its good deal, and future proof.

What y'll say ?

Solution
I5 9600k in US should be available in the next few or months but it should be still within this year according to my crystal ball.
I would hang on until it is available and the reviews are up.
Check the reviews first before taking the decision.
Keep your eyes open for R5 2600, 2600x, R7 2700, 2700x, TR 1920X, I5 8600k, I7 8700k, I5 9600k and I9 9900k.
The next black Friday would be a good chance too.
I personally would not consider it-it is an upgrade to your current setup but its still not that great. I would consider possibly going for an i5 8400, ryzen 2600 or even the new intel 9 series cpus when they do get released. If BFV is anything like BF1 it will be extremely cpu heavy and will punish the 7400.

okay guys, maybe i made the decision but i m still confused between i5 8600 and i7 8700, which should i buy ?
i dont want to spend couple of dollars for more 10+ FPS.

and also, i m gonna buy H series motherboard for Budget build.

Suggest !!

between I5 8600 and I7 8700?
Actually between having HT or not.
Some programs and games can gain benefit, while others not.
You get extra 10FPS on some, almost no difference on some and more difference on some, assuming the procs with an without HT are both running under same architecture and frequency.
There is no generic behavior in this part.

In general,
If you mainly only game, no gaming+streaming, no video editing, etc. The I5 is the better choice especially from price/performance value.
If you do more than just gaming or you do game and stream at the same time, the I7 is really helpful.

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/PRIME-B360M-D/

i m gonna buy this motherboard.

checkout !

One thing to remember if you plan to use the I5/7 9xxx without the newer mainboard, I would pay real attention to the BIOS version and the cpu compatibility list.
You might need to update the BIOS before you try to put the new proc to it.
Note: Updating BIOS must be done with a compatible processor attached.
You can either ask the store to update the BIOS or pick a mainboard with that BIOS or update the BIOS by borrowing someone else's compatible proc.
