If you need more cpu performance, upgrade to a Z suffix processor; your Z270 motherboard will then permit overclocking.
Way back, there were some hacked bios updates available to allow non Z motherboards to be multiplier overclocked.
Intel did not like that so the motherboard vendors pulled the bios updates.
Possibly some are around that you can find. Such updates came with some glitches.
No use of integrated graphics for example, plus some others.
