i5-7400 or ryzen 5 1400

I'm building my first gaming pc in June. I'm planning to buy EVGA gtx 1060 6gb with 8gb DDR4 RAM. I also thought of an rx 580 but it's too expensive in my country. And I would like to know whether to buy an AMD RYZEN 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-7400. I can't afford a more expensive cpu like the ryzen 5 1500X. I'll play games like gta 5, battlefield 1 and games that would come out in the future like COD ww2 or possibly red dead redemption 2. Or maybe some other cpu suggestions that cost less than 180 euros.

Get the 1400 over the i5, the 1400 has extra threads which will help in future games, and more and more games are starting to use extra threads like Battlefield 1 etc.

For now the cpus will perform the same in games but the 1400 has more potential for future games. Also the 1400 is overclockable to 3.8ghz so that will give it extra performance there aswell.

^ 1400 is overclockable on a b350. thats a big plus 😉
