i5 7500 and a GTX 1050Ti sufficient for dual monitors?

So I'm planning to upgrade from a g4560 to the i5 7500 (since I heard it has more value than the 7600) hoping I could do dual monitors without lag. I have a gtx 1050 ti and 8gb of ram. One monitor is 1080p and I'm planning to get another one at least 720p. I'm not going to do dual monitor gaming, probably just going to have YouTube open or something. Is this a good idea?

I think GTX 1050 TI is a great choice for 60/75 Hz 1080p gaming (a friend of mine has this configuration). Also agree that you might like extra oomph from 7700 if you have the cash. If not, 7500 wil be fine.

I run dual 1080p monitors on a i5-3570k and gtx660ti. Not a problem. Monitors themselves take up very, very little usage from any gpu, you can run 3x monitors from an igpu. The graphics from gaming is a different story. For all intents and purposes multiple monitors can be counted as basically the same as a single monitor, except for gaming which will use the primary monitor alone.

Why would you need an i7 for multitasking with gaming? My i5 760 (1st gen) can handle running my games (but they're old) with browsers and Steam chat up in the background. An i5 will be fine. Heck, he could upgrade to a 1070 or 1080 if he wanted to (but if he did he would probably want to get an i5 7600K, much more worth it than a 7700 or 7700K)

Really? I'm using a GTX 460 and i5 760! Nice build you have.

Because the i7 has twice as many threads, and can make a significant difference in multitasking
