Hello, after 8 years, my cpu (i5 760 and motherboard) starting to show its age in aaa games like metro exoddus, i decided to upgrade cpu motherboard and ram. i have gtx 1050 gpu, is it enough to upgrade my gpu to a gtx 1070 and continue with i5 760 or i should i have to replace it a 9. gen gpu ?

At this point, that old i5 isn't doing you any favors. I would suggest upgrading your CPU, motherboard, and RAM over a GPU. Your CPU is well balanced with your GPU in your current system, if you added more GPU you wouldn't really see any performance increase in most games.

So, my suggestion is to look for something inexpensive and more modern. A 9th gen Intel CPU would be a good upgrade, but even the Core i3 8100 or Ryzen 3 2200G are right around 50% faster than your current i5. You are in the situation where any new Core series or Ryzen CPU would be a worthwhile upgrade. Something like an i5 8400, 9400, or Ryzen 5 2600 would be over 70% faster than what you have.
