i5 7600 Temperature question

Hello,

Today i made a test with Prime 95 for 10 min and i wait until the next test start for the 4 workers..
I got a temperature, from HWMonitor, starting off with: Idle temp: 36-38c / Min: 32c / Max: 81-85c

is this normal for this type of cpu with stock cooler?

Max is a little high, but not quite in the danger zone. This is within the realm of "normal" for a stock cooler in a less than ideal case.

Those temps are high, but not for Prime95. So I would not worry about it. Prime95 is really not a good benchmarking software as it does not indicate real world performance. There is no program on the planet that will push your CPU as hard as Prime95, so why use it?

There are a lot better benchmarks out there that can simulate real world performance much better. I would start with XTU since you have an Intel CPU. If your temps are still above 80, then something may be a little off.
