i5 7600k bottleneck rtx2080?

I had just recently preordered a rtx2080 card and couldn't help but worry if my cpu would cause it to bottleneck it.

Im not looking to upgrade my cpu but if i have to i might

The i5 7600k is overclocked to 4.5ghz, so I'm wondering if that might help

There are no benchmarks yet for the RTX series, so it is hard to say. Be patient for a bit longer.

It safe to assume it will perform better than GTX 1080 even if it's 5-10% faster. We don't have any benchmarks yet so it's hard to tell how much faster it is.

bottleneck

Depending on the Game/FPS/Resolution, you might and might not face a bottleneck.

High FPS is CPU intensive.
High Resolution/Graphics is GPU intensive.
Some games like shooters or strategies are CPU demanding.

yes it will bottleneck in some games like ubisoft games.
