Hi, I recently picked up a 7600k and I've been cooling it with my h100i gtx cooler. For some reason my CPU idles around 40c and I don't know why. I've read that people can get their idle temps around more like 20-30c and I would like some help trying to run my CPU that cool. Currently there is no overclock set on my CPU.

20 Celsius is 68 Fahrenheit, so if you're looking to get 68F idle temps, your room temperature will need to be significantly below that. You can't (without phase-change) cool your CPU below the air around it.

It's pretty typical for AiO coolers to have slightly higher idle temps than air coolers. That said, it doesn't make one bit of difference to the stability or longevity of your CPU, so I wouldn't worry about it.
