Im upgrading my old cpu a10 7860k with r9 290 tri-x ddr5 4gb gpu to gigabyte z370 aorus gaming 5 with i5 8400. What ram should i chose? 4x4gb or 2x8gb corsair vengeance lp? And i will use my r9 and my old psu seasonic m2 II evo 750w 80+ bronze full modular with this build since im out of budget to buy new gpu.... Maybe later i will buy new gtx 1060... will my old r9 gpu still can run with latest games with max graphic settings in this upgrade?

Solution

2x8GB is better than 4x4GB.
It will be able to operate at 1T command rate, which is slightly faster.

Your old GPU will run games the same as before. May be a bit better, if those games were bottlenecked by cpu before.

So what ram speed is recomended for that board to perform better? Gygabyte site Say's "Support for DDR4 XMP Up to 4133MHz and Beyond*
AORUS is offering a tested and proven platform that ensures proper compatibility with profiles up to 4133MHz and beyond. All users need to do to attain this performance boost is to ensure that their memory module is XMP capable and that the XMP function is activated and enabled on their AORUS motherboard." Im preferred to get this ram GSkill Trident Z RGB 16GB Dual DDR4 3200 CL16 (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR) insted of 4x4gb cosair vengeance lp....
