I'm planning to get an i5-8400 with 16 PCIe lanes, can I run a GTX 1070Ti and a network card (pcie x1) at the same time?

Solution
1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)....... VIDEO CARD
* For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot.
2 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x4 (PCIEX4_1/PCIEX4_2)
3 x PCI Express x1 slots ........PLENTY of X1 SLOTS
(All of the PCI Express slots conform to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)

Why do you need a network card, if you don't mind me asking? All motherboards come with LAN ports now. If you need WiFi or Bluetooth, you can simply buy a z370 motherboard that has these features built in.

Aren't those a lot more expensive though? The Gigabyte - Z370P D3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard which is what I plan to use is £89 while the cheapest motherboard with built-in WiFi that I could find on PcPartPicker is £179, so I thought it would be cheaper to get a £89 motherboard and a network card which has WiFi a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0 (Gigabyte - GC-WB867D-I PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter) which costs £22, however, if there are better options, I would rather go for them.
