i5-8600 vs i5-8600k

Hello,
Wanted to know if it's worthwhile buying the 8600k over the 8600.
Also note that the price difference between the two is 15€, I'm not planning on overclocking anything and that it'll be paired with a GTX 1060.

If you have no plans to overclock then you should go for the i5 8600. Just make sure your motherboard is compatible.

The price difference will be more than that, as the 8600K has no cooler included.....; the 8600 should prove quite adequate, and the GTX1060 is a nice card...

For oc , you will also need expensive z370 board and quite good cooling .
And performance gain is questionable.

K model also starts with higher frequency and boost higher. If price difference between the two is really only 15€, I would go for K even if it means buying a cooler. Since you are in Europe you should be able to get LC Power Cosmo Cool LC-CC-120 for less than 20E. Great cheap cooler.

But seriously though, the 8600 might be better since it includes a stock cooler and is cheaper. If you want to overclock, then you would have to get the 8600K, simple as that.
