hey I am thinking to buy a Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 AIO for my i5 8600k. but can it cool the cpu on 1.3v +- on 5ghz below 75 celsius, or do I need a better cooler?

Solution
Hi Filipmunk,
In theory, to dissipate 100W, you need 120mm of rad.
Here you have 240mm so you can dissipate up to 200w staying in "normal" temps.
The 8600k eats about 180W maximum during extreme overclocking.

So IMO, you're good with that cooler correctly configured.
After that, it depends on the tim between the die and IHS.

But, as always, the experiment will give the results.

ty yeah in the vids I have seen it should be a pefekt cooler for the i5 8600k so I was just thinking if anybody had a defrend experiens

Hey bro, how did you go with ur build if you dont mind me asking?
I have the same set up with u pretty much and im just wondering what
ur cpu temp is like?
I get 28-35 degrees Celsius for idling and browsing.
For games like pubg i get 45-55ish degrees celsius.
Just wondering if thats ok?

Hey, well I decided to not buy it because my 120 mm water system is enough for my i5 8600k at 4,7 ghz 1,270 volts
but i may buy the arctic liquid freezer 240 mm because it costs almost the same and perform better

What was your temp like?
