i5 8600k or i7 8700

I am about to build a new gaming streaming pc and i am going to stream mainly (Cs go) with 144hz monitor but i am gonna play heavier games also (without streaming) so i wanted to know is it better to buy an i5 8600k and overclock it or an i7 8700 without the option of overclock.(The gpu is gonna be propably gtx 1060 is it gonna bottleneck any of these cpus?)

It is best to buy an i5 8600k and overclock it in my opinion. One they're cheaper and two they provide just as good if not better gaming performance as the 8700 when overclocked.

I agree with theonerm2. Given u have a good cooler. Go for the i5 overclock. You’ll save some more money and still get great performance. Coffee lake cpus are getting 5.0 ghz easy. That’s more then enough for csgo 144 hz and room to stream with those extra cores. I don’t believe either a 1060 would bottleneck either of these cards especially if you’ll be gaming at 144 hz. You’ll be cpu bound. Good luck streaming my friend!
