I5-8600k or i7 8700k

which one should i choose (i5 8600k + z370 mobo + 8 gb ram) or (i7 8700k + z370 mobo)
Current pc spec (i5 6400k + 8 gb ram + gtx 1060 6gb vram)

It depends on what you intend to use it for. They have the same number of physical cores, but the i7 has hyperthreading for better multithreaded performance. On a side note, if you're going to spend that much on the CPU + Mobo, I would absolutely suggest going ahead and getting 16 GB of RAM. It's a lot easier to buy a 2 stick kit at the beginning than trying to sort it out later.
