i5 8600k or wait for new ryzen

about 3 days until the truth is known, but, the leaked 2700X benchmarks look pretty promising....

BUt of course the 8600K results are known and they are quite excellent....especially with a good cooler, which might give 4.8-5.0 GHz for even higher 1080P framerates...; if playing at 1440 or 4k, won't make a difference anyway...

No new Intel CPU is going to be knocking anyone's socks off either. But the 2600X/2700X do close most of the remaining gaming performance difference with the 8600k/8700k. With many people systematically recommending Intel over AMD's 1000-series solely due to gaming performance, that's a significant improvement.
